Excitement surrounds the rebranding of Prevalon Energy

Tom Cornell, President and CEO of Prevalon Energy, is our guest on today’s episode 235 how this 5-year-old company has done 30+ projects, 3+GWh, and over $1 Billion in sales.

Discussion includes how Mitsubishi fully transferred numerous projects and over 50 employees to this new entity, Prevalon Energy.  Now that then rebranding to Prevalon is complete, the company is out looking for business.

Tom and one of The Green Insider’s previous podcast guests, Michael Ducker, were both involved in starting the Mitsubishi group called Next.  The Next group searches out new projects for Mitsubishi.

Prevalon is looking for customers with battery projects that are longer in term and at least 50 MW in size with 2 hours or greater in duration.  In today’s podcast we rehash the ERCOT freeze and where we stand regarding the utility of battery storage during winter storm Uri.

Prevalon expects to continue a growth rate of 20% annually which will include growing their business footprint beyond the U.S. and the development of longer life batteries.
