On this week’s Follower Friday we have our friend, Misti Pace-Krahl from the Greater Houston Partnership on the show. Misti is the Director of the Houston Leadership Cohort and is here to tell us about their leadership program.
The Houston Energy Leadership Cohort, a 10-week professional development program for mid-career professionals in the energy sector. Misti, the program’s director, explained that the program is designed to provide knowledge and skills to make a significant impact in one’s career. The program is aimed at professionals with at least 10 years of experience in the industry, and past cohorts have included directors, VPs, and CEOs.
The program covers various aspects of the energy sector, including infrastructure, petrochemical, and circularity. The sessions are a mix of in-person and online, with four in-person sessions, four online sessions, and two off-site days to explore technology and infrastructure centers. The program is open to participants from outside of Houston, and the sessions are led by industry experts in Houston.
Misti explained that they are reaching out to energy experts not only in Houston but also outside of the city through Zoom meetings. The program is designed for energy leaders, and while the curriculum is not listed online, applicants can find information on the application process on the Houston.org website. Mike encourages all ERENEWABLE and The Green Insider listeners interested in the program to visit the website for more details.
