Richard is co-founder of Distributed Energy Clearinghouse responsible for strategy, business development and overall management of the company. Before founding Distributed Energy Clearinghouse Richard was Vice President for Wood Mackenzie’s Americas Consulting Group advising clients on strategy and investments across the energy value chain, including the power and natural gas industries.
Richard also serves as a consulting Fellow with Capco, a global technology consulting firm. Richard possesses more than twenty years in the power and natural gas industries, in both wholesale and retail markets, and more than ten years in distributed energy resource and grid edge advisory. Richard has hands-on experience with distributed energy resource investment from the perspective of enterprise investors (private equity), host utilities and marketers, developers and behind-the-meter owners.
Previously Richard held senior management positions with Acclaim Energy, Centrica, Sempra and Enron.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
