- Received an MOU from the city in March, contingent on raising 75% of the funds needed.
- Restructuring to build a smaller scale of the park by 2026.
- The World Cup will be used to bring more awareness and help raise funds.
- Building a park typically takes 15 years, but the project was initially rushed to be completed in less than 10 years.
- Gold Park Project Progress:
- Betirri reported approximately 25% completion of creating a mini soccer pitch.
- Plans to reach 50% completion by year-end.
- Dr. Castellon discussed collaboration with students on architectural prototypes exhibited in Seoul, Houston, and Venice.
- Interest in building the first outdoor prototype in Houston.
- Emphasis on involving the community and students in real-world projects.
