RSG is one of many types of Low Carbon Natural Gas. The natural gas has been independently certified that the methane intensity is well below 0.25% (US standard is @ 0.50%), monitored in real time at the wellhead. RSG, which provides a carbon dioxide equivalent, (CO2e), is an affordable economic alternative to carbon sequestration or carbon credit offsets. These offsets help meet your ESG goals and stakeholder initiatives while reducing your carbon footprint.
Unbundled RECs and RSG Certificates are sold, delivered, or purchased separately from electricity or natural gas. Unbundled RECs and RSGs provide no physical delivery of electricity or natural gas to customers, and as such the customer purchases power or gas from a separate entity than the organization selling them the certificates. Unbundled REC and RSG Certificates are often the most cost-effective, time sensitive, and efficient way to reach sustainability goals in today’s capital-strapped marketplace.
