On episode 172 we talk everything regarding ESG and Sustainability with Jason Stanley, Managing Director USA with Position Green Group. His journey has taken him from Australia to Texas A&M to Position Green where he leads their charge in the US markets.

- Consulting where their focuses are ESG, human rights, communications, strategy, and reporting
- Their cloud base platform used to gather data to help firms track their ESG position
- eLearning Academy with courses from introducing ESG and sustainability to human rights
- Assurance, which provides a third party verification of other firms work to make sure the statements made are true and accurate.
Jason explains how in the US market it is still considered a voluntary reporting market, so companies start with a material assessment and from there it leads to a sustainability report for their stakeholders. They are seeing public companies have an urgent need for reporting. Equally important is the investor sector using their data platform, and private companies using it to develop reports for their stakeholders.

Jason Stanley leads the US presence of Position Green Group, the leading Nordic independent sustainability software and advisory firm. He works with a wide range of companies across several sectors to support their sustainability programs at all levels and is a regular speaker covering ESG topics including finance, energy, and technology. Prior to joining Position Green, Jason served as Vice President of ESG and Investor Relations for one of the world’s largest and most geographically diverse offshore energy support vessel owners.
During his nine years with the company, he held several senior leadership positions, including heading up the company’s marketing team and establishing and leading a subsea services division. Before moving into the maritime sector, Jason spent over 20 years championing the development and expansion of cutting-edge subsea robotics technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University. Jason lives in Houston, Texas with his two children. For fun, he is a passionate obstacle course racer and currently serves as the Director for USAOCR, the national governing body for the sport in the USA.
