Part Five of our Series with the University of Houston – Energy and UH’s The Energy Coalition, takes us to the Political Science and educational side of the Energy Transition as we sit down with Phd. Student and New Delhi, India native Aparajita Datta. Datta details her plans to get into academia following graduation in 2024 – although she hasn’t completely ruled out graduating in 2023. She takes Afriaa and Fred into why she became focused on Energy Poverty and what it means locally and globally. Speaking about her own upbringing, Datta details how the 2021 winter storm Yuri in Houston played a pivotal part in her educational journey. It’s a great story from a young woman who is determined to educate the masses on the importance of energy and why it needs to be available and equitable for all the world’s residents.
